Our Mission

Even that casual viewer can see the change happening in sports. The barrier to entry, even at just the high collegiate level, has increased tremendously.  Gone are the days when mindlessly constructed training programs can be thrown at an athlete with a net positive outcome. Athletes have largely been approached as clients who primarily need to develop sport-specific skills and only maintain a passable level of general athleticism as a byproduct of that. As the physical demands placed on athletes have increased this philosophy has only served to set them up for frustration and injury.

At Forge, we recognize this and seek to flip that paradigm on its head. We strive to build robust, integrated athletes that then excel at whatever sport they choose to play. People that can accomplish any task presented to them because of the comprehensive methods applied in the gym. The result are players who can remain healthy while expressing their physical skill set as game time success. As the majority of training programs lag behind in terms of well rounded athletic training, we will be at the tip of the spear. We will seek to push the parameters of our training systems to continuously push our athletes towards growth.

Todd sears

Director of Hitting Development

Todd has established himself as one of the top hitting instructors in the area.  He has a unique ability to break down the swing and help players become more efficient.  His professional playing career has led him to work with, and learn from, some of the best hitting minds in baseball.  This has allowed him to piece together a wide variety of concepts and drills, which are then tailored to each hitter. He has worked with and helped players of all ages and levels, and he can help you.

"My philosophy is simple!  There is no right way to hit, but there are a lot of things that hitters need to do correctly to succeed!  Simple and efficient hitting movements along with a simple mindset and approach can make hitting easier!  Hitting is extremely hard, so give yourself the best chance to be successful"
